Reminiscences of a Stock Operator (Wiley Investment Classics)
Amazon Price: $13.57
Customer Review: A Wall Street Classic and it does not disappoint. Published in 1923 the book continues to be one of the most heavily references books on trading and speculation. You’ll learn about the early days and the history of the markets, some basic trading strategies, and most importantly: the human psychology of ups and downs of trading and how Larry Livingston (pseudonym for Jesse Livermore) dealt with it all.
I’m not a trader, nor am I aspiring to become one, but this was a fascinating read and I’ll recommend it …
Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets: A Comprehensive Guide to Trading…
Amazon Price: $53.55
Customer Review: It is a text book, not a trader’s manual. On the upside it provides excellent coverage of charts, trends, reversal patterns, continuation patterns and moving averages. It’s chapter on Candlesticks is a small gem of information. The coverage of indicators was skimpy, but this gap can be filled with good internet sources.

A Beginner’s Guide to Day Trading Online (2nd edition)
Amazon Price: $10.85
Customer Review: Very informative indeed, and I am more-than-ever convinced NOT to daytrade. I know, now, that I have too little education, the wrong software, not enough energy, and not the gambling spirit. I also learned a bunch of other good stuff that can help my longer-term investing.
Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Traders
Amazon Price: $12.21
Customer Review: I generally only read textbooks about trading. Statistics, technical analysis, calculus etc. However, this very entertaining collection of interviews may be my favorite and most informative read. The stories give re-assurance that an individual can succeed through their own studies, analysis and effort. If you read carefully between the lines, you can figure out how the best in the business are operating and how they are formulating their strategies.
Option Volatility & Pricing: Advanced Trading Strategies and Techniques
Amazon Price: $40.95
Customer Review: I bought this book based on all the high review ratings of so many other readers. Unfortunately I found this book to be disappointing. The author clearly knows what he is talking about but I feel does a poor job conveying the concepts to the reader. The basics of placing orders, commission structure, etc get glossed over and the author frequently mentions concepts and then states the will be discussed later in the book. This just needlessly muddies the waters. The presentation of numerical data is also poorly handled. Th…
