SQUARE OF NINE TRAINING SOFTWARE

The Square of Nine utility software is a training and educational tool available only to purchasers of our Square of Nine book and is not separately available. It was designed to demonstrate the mathematical application of Square of Nine principles and uses only the formulae from the book. The utility was never intended to and does not substitute for doing the Square of Nine calculations with a pencil and calculator or in a spreadsheet. It will however save considerable time experimenting with different multipliers and factors to determine the natural vibration of your favorite tickers and time frames.

The utility requires ASCII data files in the format DATE TIME OPEN HIGH LOW CLOSE VOLUME (optional and not required) or Metastock ASCII files in the format TICKER, PER, YYYYMMDD, TIME, OPEN, HIGH, LOW, CLOSE with the .prn file extension. We use the Metastock ASCII format for all our software. We download our historical stock and futures data with AnalyzerXL which automatically exports them into the proper Metastock ASCII format (shown in the chart below). AnalyzerXL is an Excel based technical analysis bundle that provides no cost historical downloads of worldwide stock and futures data and has 149 built-in technical analysis macros. The Square of Nine utility program is a single, executable (.exe) file written in VB5 that requires no installation procedure. It does not make any changes to your registry or system directory. All DLLs necessary to run the program should already be available on any system running Win98 or higher. Not available for Linux or MAC OS.
