HOW TO EXPORT ASCII DATA FROM YAHOO

STEP 1

Go to Yahoo Finance Enter a symbol. Click on Historical Prices. Change the begin date and periodicity to what you want. Click Get Prices. The browser page will reload with the data series you requested.



STEP 2

Scroll to the bottom of the page and Click Download to Spreadsheet.




STEP 3

Your Excel (or other spreadsheet) program will load automatically with the Yahoo data already set up in columns as in the below image.

STEP 4

From within the spreadsheet Click File --> Save As



STEP 5

Scroll to select CSV (comma delimited) (*.CSV).

Name the file whatever you want. Then save the file in the directory of your choice.



STEP 6

Click on the option button Yahoo.
Double click on the filename you saved.
